Get It On, Bang a Gong, Get It On: Tagalog, Yoga, and Circopolis

What to do on an icy day? How about break out the Tagalog youtube videos Lola sent us. Mr. Bear has been watching Tu Bebe Puede Leer for six months now and sporadically watches his Mandarin panda bear DVDs, but why not throw in some Tagalog in there just for kicks?

The Tagalog series begins with needing to wake up Lolo in the morning. It reminds Mr. Bear of our cruise days when he got to wake up Lolo and Lola everyday.

Gotta love when the video also spells out the la, la, las.

Mr. Bear is particularly taken by the farm video and points out every animal and makes each corresponding animal noise.

Mommy is pretty rusty with her language skills. Thank goodness there are some overlaps between Spanish and Tagalog.

After that, we head to Integral Yoga Kids Class located just a block from our house. We start the class off with some butterfly action.

The Bear helps Daddy in the tabletop position.

Mr. Bear shows off his downward dog, then moves into snake and sphinx.

Now for some chanting and singing. And also balancing along the blocks.

Mommy is also a little jealous that the Bear next gets to go on a carpet ride. How relaxing does this look?

The class even exposes the Bear to his first gong. The Bear even gets a chance to gong it. (Is gong a verb?) Mommy realizes that she's never gotten to gong a gong and is a little jealous.

After yoga, we do a quick Integral Yoga grocery run and the Bear as usual helps out. Here he is checking out the different types of tofu (Mommy had no idea that there were more types than one).

Being the organized Bear that he is, he stacks the tofu.

We then have lunch (soba noodles and tempeh Reuben sandwiches - yay for Daddy being our chef!) and the Bear passes out for his nap. Mommy is also jealous about these naps.

Immediately after the nap, we head to Cirkopolis, located just a 15 minute walk from our house. Mommy has low expectations for this performance - more jugglers and clowns and stuff. But boy is she wrong. Check this out.

It's like a mini Cirque de Soleil. The Bear lasts almost the full show but we run out of organic fruit snacks and Mommy forgets to pack his favorite bars (oops!) Thank goodness Daddy and the Bear are very understanding.

On the way back, the Bear walks through the park and bottom (as opposed to face) plants just a couple times.

Yay for prolonging the holidays.
