Secret Garden and Sunset

Mr. Bear is quite the eater and drinker. He is now taking to a particular milk called Panda Milk. It's just the regular organic soy milk, but this brand has a panda bear on it. He tells Daddy today, "Panda milk."

I pick up the Bear after school and we head right to Washington Square.

Rocking the knee pads striped pants.

And the winter suede jacket.

On the elephant rocking horse. Or I guess it would be a rocking elephant.

An elephant who is missing an eyeball.

Axel is at the park too.

Apparently the elephant is missing an eyeball on both sides. Although now that I think of it, if the elephant had an eyeball on both sides, then it would have four eyes. Which would be weird.

Funny Mr. Bear faces.

The B has been sucking on his upper lip a bit. Mommy thinks it's cute, and then she realizes it's probably because the Bear's nose is running and this is his coping strategy about what to do with his little faucet of snot. Yum.

Axel normally plays with the Bear, but Axel's grandma tells me that Axel is watching an animal program and that Axel is obsessed with finding insects.

Mr. Bear heads down the slide.

Again.

Mommy notices the Bear's hair length.

She starts considering a hair cut for the B.

Down on the tummy this time.

Mommy really should wipe the Bear's nose more often.

Here we are at the Secret Garden. It is a private garden at St. Luke's Church in the West Village.

"Partners," the Bear tells Mommy. I am trying to capture these smaller moments.

We came upon the Secret Garden randomly.

Mommy was actually looking for a playground.

But this garden is even better.

Mr. Bear is amazed by the little flowers.

And the pretty brick paths.

Cherry blossoms? Mommy actually can't tell between a pink flower and a cherry blossom.

The Bear starts trying to pick off the flower and Mommy tells him, "Gentle Bear please."

The Bear runs around the beautiful garden.

Cherry blossom? Mommy is still clueless.

Daffodil. Daddy has taught the Bear this flower, and the Bear names it once he sees it.

King of the Garden.

It is now 7:10. We head to the Hudson River.

Hood on because it is windy on the waterfront.

We bide our time and wait for the sunset.

The Bear enjoys the view.

"Snack," the Bear tells Mommy. Luckily, Mommy has planned ahead and brought a PB&J for the Bear.

Finally time to take her class photos. Still working on silhouettes. Which two are your favorite? Here we go...
