Cherry Blossoms

Even though it's spring, Mommy continues to put the Bear in his winter coat. Being from California, she doesn't trust the Northeastern long winters.

Here is Giorgio in a spring jean jacket. Mommy is questioning her winter wear - though she herself is still wearing a down jacket.

It does start to get cold, and Mommy is relieved that she and the Bear are bundled like polar bears. Now wearing a winter hat, Little B runs into an ardilla.

Together they scavenge for their next snack.

On the way to Brooklyn, this time wearing a corduroy jacket. And a shirt and a sweater.

Walking through the Prospect Park farmers market.

Past the Brooklyn Public Library.

They have a big Children's Museum - Mommy adds that to her "Check out in Brooklyn" list.

Arriving at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Mr. Bear is mystified by the very unfamiliar experience of walking on grass. It may be the first time he's done this since the fall.

Five minutes later, the B insists on "Shoulders!"

It is the very beginning of cherry blossom season.

This one is more white than pink.

All smiles.

Lots of shoulder shots.

Daddy and the Bear are very patient as Mommy tries to figure out her camera.

Mr. Bear points out different routes we should go next.

He then starts singing, "Old MacDonald."

Daddy gives Mr. B a smooch.

Alex tells me that his friend from work made a special trip to Washington DC last weekend for the spectacular peak of cherry blossom season - but unfortunately with the long winter, there wasn't a single blossom to see.

We are headed to DC next weekend to visit Alex's friend Chris - we might actually time it right with seeing the blossoms. Just by luck.

Just a year ago, we got a lucky at Central Park and took photos with Mr. Bear during the cherry blossom season.

Mr. B gives Daddy a peck on the nose.

One of my favorite shots today.

Mommy was able to get a quick shot with the Bear.

Then Mommy went on a binge of taking shots of the Bear.

Donde esta tu lengua?

Donde esta tu nariz?

Daddy and the Bear take a quick breather.

Then Mommy goes on another Bear taking binge. She had a hard time narrowing down her favorite shot.

Stopping by the pond.

To check out the fish.

More cherry blossoms.

Tortugas.

On the way home, Mr. B passed on on the train. Mommy and Daddy were both jealous.
