Last Photo Lesson: Homework

Last lesson for my photo class. I'm a bit sad but also relieved. It is a lot of work to try to be at a sunrise/sunset and get the homework done.

Here's the homework for this week:

Assignment 6

It’s the final week and we introduce you to several things with this lesson! How to meter front lit scenes with white, use of a reflector, Graduated ND filters, HDR, and a number of ways to deal with challenging metering situations! There isn’t anything you can’t handle now! The assignment is wide open this week taking on the new techniques OR returning to some of your favorites from the past lessons. You may have even had trouble with a particular technique and this is the week to give it another shot. Anything goes in your three uploads save for the fact that at least one shot HAS to be VERTICAL!!

White #1 F4.0, 1/15, ISO400

Dusk #2 F16, 0.5 seconds, ISO800

Analiza, Love your shots to finish up the class! The dusk shot is really well done and I love the color in the sky! You are shooting at JUST the right time. You are at 1/2 sec here and I would love to see you go on tripod and get a longer shutter speed there to let the traffic turn into nice streams. You can take your ISO down to 100 and you'll be at 4 seconds which will be plenty long for traffic moving this fast! The portrait is lovely and with all white- perfectly exposed! Love the light there and the way they are both so happy! A Perfect portrait! Thanks so much for joining us here at PPSOP! Bryan
