Yeah - it's holiday season! The city just put up the holiday lights on 6th Ave and some shops are already getting into the spirit. Bigelow was showcasing the crazy Muppet Animal.
We didn't last too long watching Animal. Bryson was a bit freaked out - although looking at Animal now, I do agree - he does look pretty crazy.
So what is a mom to do on a day when the library is closed? How about go to the grocery store and play, "What's this?" in the produce section. I was pretty impressed that Bryson could identify onions, cucumbers, carrots, pears, broccoli, and pineapple. Definitely no thanks to me. I haven't made a meal in years (if you don't count microwaving), so all the credit goes to Daddy on Bryson's culinary and epicurean skills. He desperately wanted to take a bite out of the carrots.
Bryson's new favorite book is We're Going on a Bear Hunt. Although he does get sad at the end when the bear goes home. I have to explain that the bear is going home to sleep, sleep.
Check out this Sit N Stroll that I nabbed from a mom who was giving it away. Perfect for our upcoming winter trip. Bryson being the on top of it guy that he is immediately wanted to test it out.
Bryson is also quite savvy at pointing out what things are Daddy's (his bag, his guitar). Today he carried Daddy's shoes, hugged them, and kept repeating, "Dadda, Dadda." He then decided that wasn't enough to be close to Dadda. He put the shoes on and tried walking around.
Here is the bear in his new fire fighter outfit!
