Poor little Bear has a fever, so it is a mellow day today. Even so, Daddy has reason to celebrate - he has finished off the last of the salt from India. It has taken since we've gotten home from India to finish it (over fourteen months), so you can see why we're talking Big Time Celebrating.
In celebration, Daddy goes on a cooking binge and makes chili, meatloaf (vegan of course), banana bread, mashed potatoes, gravy, and focaccia.
A tad bit difficult to get the Little Bear to smile.
Focused on getting amarillo down the propeller hatch.
Always the creative Bear.
Today we probably read at least 30 books. Still one of his favorite books is his Dog book.
Right now his #1 favorite is Cars and Trucks and Things That Go. On his own, the Bear tells me where the unicycle is.
Chilling out with his books.
The New Babysitter with Barney is quite the read.
The Bear perks up when we mention the park. No problems getting on his jackets and hat.
Though he does insist on, "Shoulder! Shoulder!" Daddy takes pity on the Bear and lifts him up.
Doing some window shopping.
The Bear does not dig the big kid tricycle.
But he does spot something else.
A mini tricycle perfectly sized for the Bear.
Daddy tries to teach the Bear how to peddle.
The Bear ditches the bike and heads to the slide.
Whee!
Daddy tells me that the Bear did laps with the slide yesterday - when the entire playground was an icy wonderland. Today, the warmth has melted the snow so there's no white anywhere to be seen.
No pedals this time.
Back to the slide.
The Bear and Daddy have not one but two push toys.
Popping a wheelie.
