Peters Kill Hike

We had meant to do some rock climbing with the Bear this morning, but we got up "late" (read: 8:30am), and by the time we had some train pancakes, we weren't out the door until 10:15am. Daddy had to be back at the house by noon so that he could use the internet and try to buy some tickets that went on sale on the 5th of every month.

So instead of rock climbing, we took a short hike (by short, I mean 42 minutes) and by hike, I mean stopping every 2 minutes to look at some mushrooms or a slug or an ant - Mr. Bear is enthralled. We also saw a couple baby brooks, and the Bear insisted that he put his hand in the water. Poor little City Bear has never seen a brook before. We also of course had to pick some new sticks up. They were taller than he was!

After the 42 minutes, we rushed back to the car and back to the house where Daddy was able to get his tickets. And we also oohed and ahhed over the family of deer in our backyard.
