Mr. Bear Uses the Trash Can All By Himself

Mr. B continues to blow me away with his new tricks. Today after school, we are in the kitchen. The Bear starts opening the kitchen cabinet where the trash is stored. He never does that, and I am surprised. I begin to say, "Bryson, this is Daddy's." (Clearly, because Daddy owns all things kitchen related, even the trash.) But just as I am telling Bryson this and closing the cabinet, I see that Bryson has a small piece of trash that he is trying to put in the trash can. I then redirect and open the cabinet for him. He then nods and puts the trash in the can and goes back to playing with his cars.

Wow! Where did he learn that? Mommy (who can be a neat freak) is blown away impressed.

I later ask Daddy if he knows where this comes from. Daddy is just as mystified (and impressed) as Mommy.

Add to this that he just pointed to a bowl of tortilla chips and said, "Mommy's!" (Yes, Mommy is the only one to eat junk like this at home.)

Two years old and the Bear is blowing our minds.

Here are birthday cards from Nana and Aunt Corey.

Mr. Bear opens one from Nana.

It is a scratch and sniff.

"Mono!" the Bear tells us.

Mr. B carries his cards around with him and asks for Aunt Corey, Nana, Max, and Ralphie. We tell him, "Just a couple more days, Mr. B."

At the library, Mr. Bear's first pick is a magazine about Thailand, the land of smiles.

Today the Bear learns about Buddhism. I think I first learned about that in college.

Mr. B organizes the crate of books.

Afterwards, he impresses this girl with his brawn (not just organization skills).

The Bear picks up Mommy's phone and switches to self-portraits.

Mommy takes a quick photo of the two of us.
