What's a hurling match? Thanks to Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Rob, Mr. Bear gets to find out for himself. First match for the Bear. And for Mommy. And for the rest of the family.
Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Rob explain the rules. Hurling is part field hockey, part lacrosse, and part rugby. Each team has a field goal at the end of the field to score.
Lots of rules, thinks Mr. Bear.
This is the women's national championships.
Lolo and Lola are impressed with the little kiddos who have a mini-competition during the break.
Mr. Bear learns a new move from Lolo and Lola.
Whee!
New snowsuit from Lola.
Uno, dos...
Tres!
Mr. Bear can't get enough of this move.
Or this move. "Shoulders!" Mr. Bear tells Daddy. Here we are visiting Trinity College in Dublin.
Lolo and Lola have the whole world in their hands.
But it isn't complete without Mr. Bear.
We visit the Trinity Library and see the Kells books, some of the oldest Bibles that exist in the world.
Lolo and the Bear review his 1001 animal book.
One of the oldest harps in the world.
"Partners," the Bear tells Lola and Daddy. He has become quite the walker. We rarely need to bring his stroller around.
Mr. Bear can always climb on Daddy's shoulders.
Pretty old doors with gargoyles.
Beautiful gardens too.
At night, it's party time for the Bear. We head to Kilkenny with the old stone castles and archways.
Even Lolo and Lola get into the action.
Love the horns on Lola.
New St. Patty's hat for Mr. Bear. Fits perfectly.
Cowboy Irish style.
"Where's the disco?" asks the Bear.
Lola has a sneaky look on her face. What is she up to?
Ta da! Lola is the leprechaun from the Lucky Charms box.
But she can't fool the Bear. Muah!
Mr. Bear wants his own costume.
Vegas style.
Batting his lashes before we head to dinner.
