Bryson's Superhero 4th Birthday Party at the Children's Art Museum

Living in NYC is not the cheapest, but wow - kids birthday parties really hit you in the gut. A thousand bucks on a party for 30 kids. And that was just our half!

Luckily, we did a combo party with Bryson's best bud Grey (his other best buds are Dashiell and Aneel) so we could split it...

By the way, at school for Valentine's Day the teachers asked each kid "Who do you love?," and wrote their answers on a sheet of paper. I was surprised to find that Bryson said "Mommy" (Daddy of course was not a surprise - the Bear is definitely a Daddy's boy). Dashiell apparently named his Mommy as well as Bryson and Aneel. How cute is that?!

Despite the horrendous cost, the museum did a great job with the party. There were activities like making your own paper bag puppet (Bryson picked a pink dolphin) and also your own face mask (the Bear picked Spider Man). We also had cupcakes decorated each with a Superhero ring (the Bear picked Captain America) and some healthy snacks.

Grey and the Bear got to blow out their candles and posed with some Transformer decorations (apparently, the Bear is over the superheroes and is now into Transformers and Star Wars).

With all that is going on, we are super grateful to Grey's mom Lisa for doing so much of the planning.
