Guanajuato: Splash, Museum of Legends, Cooking Class

Here we are at the Explora Museum. Scarlet picked the Frozen, flowers, and Yoda backgrounds. The creepy ones were Bryson's.

If you could create a mask, what animal would you pick?

Scarlet picked a cat, and then Bryson leveled it up with a ninja cat. Check out Scarlet's look - it includes gems and yep, those are earrings. Bryson wanted an all-black cat and had to be talked into making the background grey so we could see the whiskers.

Chocolate waffles. For dinner. Don't judge :)

Museum of Legends. Guanajuato has many legends, including this one at the Callejon de Beso (Alley of the Kiss). It's a Romeo and Juliet type story where a poor miner and rich girl fall in love. Unfortunately, her dad catches them in the act of kissing and the miner falls to his death. The dad then bludgeons the girl to death. Sad face.

But thankfully for tourists (ha!), the spirits will bless your relationships if you stand on the step where the miner died. Hence, that's what we are doing :)

When's the last time you went to a water park?

It's been awhile since we went to one. Luckily, Splash Water Park is pretty close to Guanajuato. So after checking out a museum, we headed to the water park. Scarlet and Bryson ran off, taking my, "Go ahead and play" to mean wander around the whole park. I ended up walking around for half an hour trying to find them. Where did I find them? At the tallest slides, the ones that go straight down without the loops. Did I join them? Nope. I like a more mellow ride :)
