Alex and I had a 10-minute conference with Bryson’s
teachers, Mr. Ted and Ms. Sabrina.
Summary:
- - Mr. Bear is performing as expected in all areas, with exception with shapes and numbers where he is exceeding expectations.
- - Mr. Bear is quite the compliant child. Only once has he been redirected – and he didn’t react to that too well (poor Mr. B seems to be a bit of a perfectionist and takes redirects personally; I’m guessing it’s because he rarely ever gets redirects).
- - Mr. Bear is starting to come out of his shyness (although Alex and I try not to use the word shy around him). He isn’t shy with friends but when he’s being looked at by the whole class, he gets a little shy.
- - When we introduce Scarlet to the Bear, we need to make sure that we give 1:1 attention to Mr. Bear. We bought a few gifts (including two 100-piece floor puzzles) that Scarlet will give Mr. B when they first meet and also a big brother shirt. We think Mr. Bear will be a great big brother J
