We landed in Cartagena, Colombia and met Lolo, Lola, and Uncle Rob at the airport. Then we headed to our 3-bedroom/3 bathroom apartment (complete with outdoor shower) in the historic walled city. We met our maid/cook Shirley, planned our meals for the week, and headed to the grocery store. On the way, we booked a fishing tour for the next day with Aventuras Colombia. We had dinner out that night at La Mulata - the first of many where Alex and I had rice and fried plantains. Then Bryson performed a show on his "stage" complete with Christmas carols and jokes. During the show, he also took requests where we would raise our hands, and he would call on one of us to pick the next song. Mr. Bear ended each performance with a formal bow - where he learned this, we have no idea, but it's pretty awesome. That night, we discovered that our apartment overlooks one of the hottest night spots in the city - which also means it is not the quietest spot for a 3 year old. Oops!
