Alex and I came back from Easter Island to find that the Bear won two tournaments, the Hunter Kindergarten chess tournament and also the K-8 under 700 rated section (he was one of 2 kindergarteners in a field that included middle schoolers!). Mr. Bear officially has bigger trophies than I've ever had (I think my biggest one is as tall as his smallest one).
We also went to a shop called the Chess Forum in the Village where Mr. Bear played some Grand Masters. Bryson was completely unfazed by it all.
