Am I a Tiger Mom?
Naah, I don’t think so.
I’m not involved in the PTA, I don’t check the kids
homework, I don’t cook, I don’t coach any of their teams, I don’t make sure
they eat organic stuff, I don’t do any of the morning wake-up, lunch packing,
or getting them ready, I don’t do any of the evening stuff either.
As I type, I’m wondering if I should delete everything I’ve written so far.
But I live dangerously, so let’s keep rocking.
One thing I do do (I’m giggling as I type that, but nope not
going to hit the delete button)… I believe in creating meaningful experiences.
So I try hard to take off the days that the kids don’t have school. Or when
they don’t have soccer games or whatever else stuff, I try to plan meaningful
activities.
Which means lots of playdates. Luckily, Scarlet has some
nice friends with nice parents. So it’s been a win-win for me, too.
Here are some of Scarlet’s friends: Kira, Charlie, Alon,
Alex (from DC), Fiona, Alex, Bruna, Liv, Lily…
By the way, I’m going to have to toot Scarlet’s horn a bit
here. She won 5 of her 6 matches at an all girl’s chess competition. Go
Scarlet!!!
