My dad surprised me with a request, “Can I visit NYC?” It’s been awhile since he’s come to NYC. It must have been 5 years ago.
I checked the Master Calendar. Yes, capital M. That calendar
is intense, color-coded, and a beast I try to tame by making sure I feed it
jelly beans (the good kind, not those yucky fat ones).
But I digress. I must be hungry.
The only weekend that worked was 3 weeks away. And voila, in
a blink of an eye, he somehow chose a red eye to fly in and then a 6AM to fly
out (what?!)
We packed in all the NYC faves:

Financial District
1pm One Vanderbilt Summit
4:30 Scarlet practice, Bryson brings them for pizza
7:15 Coco the Musical - live

Poor dad was pooped at the end of his trip. His feedback, “It
would be nice to talk next time.”
Hmm…
